If you’re dreaming of a getaway that’s equal parts relaxation and adventure, this is your sign to book a trip!

Where i stayed: E1 Suites and Spa.

I stayed in the Presidential Suite, and it was everything I could have hoped for—spacious, stylish, and with some of the best views in Gibraltar. The private balcony offered incredible sights of the Mediterranean, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee. The bed was super comfy, and the large bathroom had a soaking tub that was perfect for unwinding after a long day.

The highlight for me was definitely the spa. After exploring Gibraltar, coming back to relax in the sauna or indulge in a full-body massage was exactly what I needed. The spa staff were amazing, and I felt completely refreshed by the end of my stay. If you visit, make sure to set aside some time to enjoy the spa—you won’t regret it!

Hotel Highlights:

What I loved most about E1 Suites and Spa is how it perfectly matches the vibe of Gibraltar. The hotel is modern and stylish, but it also has a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It’s close enough to all the main attractions but still offers a peaceful retreat.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a solo trip, or a family vacation, E1 Suites and Spa has something for everyone. The service is fantastic, the facilities are top-notch, and the experience is one I’ll be recommending for a long time.

Top Things to Do in Gibraltar:

Gibraltar might be small, but it’s packed with amazing things to do and see! Whether you’re into history, nature, or just looking for some fun activities, Gibraltar has something for everyone. Here are some of the top things you shouldn’t miss:

1. Explore the Rock of Gibraltar

The iconic Rock of Gibraltar is a must-see. You can hike or take the cable car to the top for stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Spain, and even Africa on a clear day. While you’re there, say hello to the famous Barbary macaques—the only wild monkeys in Europe. But be careful with your snacks—they’re known for being a bit cheeky!

2. Take a Dolphin Watching Tour

One of the most unforgettable experiences in Gibraltar is a dolphin watching tour. The waters around Gibraltar are home to several species of dolphins, and it’s common to see them swimming and playing in their natural habitat. It’s a fun and exciting adventure for all ages, and the views of the coastline from the boat are breathtaking.

3. Visit the Great Siege Tunnels

The Great Siege Tunnels are a fascinating part of Gibraltar’s history. Carved out of solid limestone during the late 18th century, these tunnels were used to defend Gibraltar during the Great Siege. Walking through them gives you a real sense of the strategic importance of Gibraltar, and there are plenty of exhibits and information points to learn more about the history.

4. Enjoy the Gibraltar Nature Reserve

The Gibraltar Nature Reserve is a beautiful area that covers much of the upper part of the Rock. It’s a great place to explore, with walking trails, stunning viewpoints, and plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife. Don’t miss St. Michael’s Cave, a stunning limestone cave within the reserve that’s filled with impressive stalactites and stalagmites.

5. Get the Gibraltar Pass

If you’re planning to see all the main attractions, consider getting the Gibraltar Pass. It’s a convenient way to access multiple sites, including the cable car, the Great Siege Tunnels, St. Michael’s Cave, and more. The pass also offers discounts at various shops and restaurants, making it a great value if you’re looking to explore all that Gibraltar has to offer.

6. Walk the Mediterranean Steps

For the adventurous, the Mediterranean Steps offer a challenging but rewarding hike up the steep side of the Rock. The trail takes you along the edge of the nature reserve, with breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding landscape. It’s a bit of a workout, but the scenery is well worth the effort.

7. Discover the Gibraltar Museum

The Gibraltar Museum is a great place to dive deeper into the rich history and culture of the area. It covers everything from prehistoric times to modern-day Gibraltar, with fascinating exhibits on the Rock’s geology, its role in various wars, and its unique blend of cultures.

8. Stroll Around Main Street

No visit to Gibraltar is complete without a leisurely stroll down Main Street. This bustling area is filled with shops, cafes, and historic buildings. It’s the perfect place to pick up some souvenirs, enjoy a coffee, or just soak up the local atmosphere.

9. Relax at Catalan Bay

For a more laid-back experience, head to Catalan Bay, a charming beachside village with colourful houses and a beautiful sandy beach. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy some sun, and maybe have a bite to eat at one of the local seafood restaurants.

Gibraltar is a unique destination with a mix of British and Mediterranean influences, stunning natural beauty, and a rich history. Whether you’re here for a short visit or an extended stay, these activities will help you make the most of your time in this amazing place!
